Screen capture never leaves your Mac

Stagehand captures windows and displays entirely on-device using Apple’s ScreenCaptureKit. Nothing you capture, present, or curtain is ever uploaded, recorded, or sent anywhere by us.

What we collect — only if you send feedback

The app includes an optional feedback form for bug reports, feature requests, and general feedback. Nothing is sent unless you actively submit it. When you do, we receive:

• Your Mac account’s name, so we know who to reply to
• An email address, only if you choose to enter one
• The feedback text you write
• Optional diagnostics, if you leave that toggle on: app version, macOS version, your Mac’s Screen Recording permission status, display and window counts, and the last capture error — never any screen content or images

This is sent to a backend we run and forwarded into our private issue tracker (Linear) so we can act on it. It’s used only to respond to you and fix bugs — never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared beyond what’s needed to support you.

Purchases

Stagehand Pro is sold entirely through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details — Apple handles that relationship directly.

What stays on your device

Your preferences, custom curtains, branding, and scenes are stored locally by the app and never transmitted anywhere.
